Note: The Museum at the bottom of the Arch is closed for renovation*.  Old Courthouse has some of the arch artifacts on display.

You must have a ticket before going to the arch.

Todo list for going to the arch:

  • tram tickets will sellout, so buy tickets in advance
  • when purchasing ticket online can choose mobile option or print-at-home option
    • print-at-home option: print out your tram ticket from an e-mail message and bring it directly to the arch.
    • mobile option: display the e-mail message on your smart phone to show a bar code (make sure your phone is charged)
  • Arrive at the arch at least 30 minutes before the time on your tram ticket to allow time for security screening.
  • Tickets are for a specific time.  You will need to get a ticket between 3:30 pm and 4:30 pm.
  • Can call 877-982-1410 ahead of time to make sure the tickets are not sold out.
  • You can also buy tickets by calling 877-982-1410, and then pick your ticket at the Old Courthouse then walk to the arch.

Security: The arch does have security screening at the entrance.  You may have to wait in line to get inside.

If you get a ticket for the tram, you will be given a time you can board.  When you are in line for the tram in the base of the arch, make sure no one with a later time on their tram ticket is in front of you in line.


Documentary movie is shown continuously and there are no reservations for entry.  Viewing contingent on space availability.  

*The website inaccurately mentions renovations will be complete in Spring 2017.  They will actually be completed Spring 2018.
